Holistic data management for georeferenced railway and road infrastructure data

Abstract

This article introduces a tool that has been developed for the end-to-end data management process for railway and road infrastructure data. We begin with an overview of the need to implement and have such a tool at our disposal. We then focus on the tool's architecture and proceed with the details pertaining to the different layers and components inside it. We also touch on the tool's input / output interfaces, applications and use cases and describe how each tool component connects to different data management processes. In the conclusion, we share our insights on the tool's future.
