Abstract

For counteracting muscle wasting and bone loss, it is mandatory to perform regular training in the microgravity environment. For future deep-space missions this task will be even more important. For this purpose, the Novel Exercise Hardware for Exploration (NEX4EX) was developed enabling resistance, sensorimotor and plyometric training. This work shows the results of the clinical validation study.
