The study employs a multidimensional approach, integrating time series analysis, regression modelling, and correlation analysis to unravel the intricate dynamics influencing fuel consumption by non-resident trucks in Germany. The methodology encompasses the collection of extensive datasets, incorporating mileage, toll data, fuel price differentials, and other pertinent variables. Time series analysis, including double exponential smoothing, reveals temporal patterns, while regression modelling dissects the multifaceted factors impacting fuel consumption; meanwhile, correlation analysis adds a layer of robustness to the findings, accounting for the variables involved in the methodology.
