Abstract

The EU (European Union) Green Deal aims to achieve no net emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) by 2050, economic growth decoupled from resource use, and no person/place left behind principles. While there are clear methodologies for environmental and economic impact assessments, the EU and social life cycle assessment guidelines have identified social impacts, yet there is currently no specific methodology to measure the social impacts of heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) with alternative powertrains.
