Abstract

The demand for many raw materials in clean energy and transport technologies will grow significantly in the coming years Challenges for many raw materials: - Considerable expansion of current production within short time necessary - Exploitation of deposits that are not yet economically viable today necessary - High concentration of production in only a few producing countries - Political instability in the producing countries. --> Considerable risk for short- to medium supply bottlenecks and/or price increases for many raw materials important for clean energy and transport technologies!
