Abstract

The steady aerodynamics characteristics of airfoils are represented by analytical formulas. Unsteady aerodynamics are modeled using the approximations to the Wagner and Küssner functions. The dynamic stall angle of attack is modeled in a similar way. The results are validated using steady and dynamic experimental data in attached and separated flow. Finally the application to helicopter rotor simulation is shown.
