Kurzfassung
The keynote presentation gives an overview about the results of European and DLR research on ditching over the last 20 years. Especially results from the following projects were presented: "EU CAST -Crashworthiness of Helicopters on Water: Design of Structures using Advanced Simulation Tools", "EU CRAHVI - Crashworthiness of Aircraft for High Velocity Impact", "EU SMAES - Smart Aircraft in Emergency Situations", "DLR-ONERA project ADAWI - Assessment of Ditching and Water Impact", "DLR-ONERA project RADIAN - Robust Aircraft Ditching Analysis".
