Airport Infrastructure using sustainable aviation fuels

Abstract

Main Challenges for Airports with LH2 infrastructure; What are the main findings / achievements so far? The investments for liquid hydrogen infrastructure will be massive for the airports. It has become a bit clearer what airports in can expect in future. However, real strategy recommendations for different airport types (with their conditions are still missing. so that they could plan better with their conditions. In general, airports are dependent on many conditions (availability of hydrogen and natural energy sources). In addition to the high investments, the problem is the limited expansion options at the airport sites (e.g. for hydrogen storage tanks farms).
