Abstract

This seminar paper focuses on the exploration of text-to-speech applications. It begins by discussing the algorithms involved in this process, specifically text normalization and speech synthesis. The paper then examines the various text-to-speech applications such as cockpit voice alerts, air traffic control communications, research applications, converting text to spoken words, and pre-recorded announcements. Furthermore, the paper explores hardware and devices used for text-to-speech applications such as avionics systems, audio control panels, and cockpit displays.
