Abstract

A long-term load analysis on two rotary flexible hose interconnections tested on a specific test bench under nominal operating conditions is presented. Tests show that several parameters exert an influence over the load measurements, being pressure the most relevant one. There is a trend in the rotation angle ranges at which maximum force values are achieved, regardless of pressure. Finally, a suitable bottom connection configuration significantly contributes to the similarity of force profiles between both rotary flexible hose assemblies in the test bench, although a more thorough monitoring of loads at these critical components is recommended.
