Abstract

The La-manganites with perovskite (P) structure are considered as favorite cathode materials for SOFC because of their high electric conductivity, good chemical stability and thermal expansion compatibility with the electrolyte solid layer. The present work shows the possibility of Sr doped P structures production under different initial conditions realized in a radio frequency inductively coupled plasma set-up. The plasma gas is a mixture of Ar+H2 or Ar+ O2. The precursors for P formation are aqueous solutions of La- Mn- and Sr nitrates. The performed thermodynamic analysis relates to the system containing La, Mn, Sr, H, O, N, Ar. The pressure in the system is 20 KPa. The temperature is varied from 2500 to 500 K by decreasing step of 100K. The initial concentrations of the precursors are also varied. The general trend of the thermodynamic calculations was found to be confirmed with experimental data of thermal plasma CVD perovskite coatings.
