The presentation is about infrastructure solutions for smart CSP environments. It is actually composed out of two subtopics: 5G & IoT. The first part is concerned with 5G for efficient solar-thermal power plants based on a project called 5hine. The idea is to get rid of wires for heliostats and other components for monitoring & maintenance like drones or mobile apps. The goal is to lower investment costs and allow more flexibility for innovative wireless use cases. The second part is concerned with an iot platform as the basis for monitoring and automation in solar-thermal power plants. The goal is to create a qualitative infrastructure for interconnection of subcomponents and an efficient data management.
