Abstract
For remote train operation (RTO) video and sensor streaming plays a vital role. Based on considerations in the projects Lucy Train Lab and 5G Living Lab and an additional literature review this paper gives an overview of existing approaches and architectural solutions for video and sensor streaming in a safety-critical environment. Furthermore, we propose an architecture that can be utilized for video and sensor streaming for remote train operations and point out how these activities could be integrated into the operational and technical workflow.
