Abstract

Future aircraft technologies have the potential to enhance the efficiency of airplanes and contribute to reducing the overall emissions of the air transport. This thesis presents a systematic approach that integrates aircraft technologies into a digital aircraft model based on an extensive literature review, and evaluates their impact at the mission level. Particularly, the changes in CO2 and NOx emissions resulting from the integration of these technologies will be examined and serve as the main metric in this study. The visual presentation of the results will be facilitated through a roadmap, enabling users to explore the impact of individual technologies and technology combinations using concept aircraft. Furthermore, the mission-level findings are brought to a global perspective, employing a dashboard for impact monitoring and implicate the further research connected to this work.
