Abstract
A steam turbine is a power engine in which the potential energy of steam is converted into kinetic energy, and the kinetic energy is converted into mechanical energy by rotating the shaft. The turbine shaft is connected directly or by means of a gear transmission to the working machine. Depending on the purpose of the working machine, a steam turbine can be used in various industries. Steam turbines may be classified into different categories depending on their construction, working pressures, size, and many other elements. Lecture plan: Introduction 1.
