Abstract

The development of the short and medium range configuration D2AE for aeroelastic investigations is presented. Therefore, the conceptual design tool openAD and the parametric aeroelastic design process cpacs-MONA are used. The D2AE exhibits a high aspect ratio wing (14.5) and is equipped with a flapping wing in order to fit into the 36m airport parking box. For investigations in the LuFo VI-2 funded project WISDOM the structural design allows also flutter, then to be suppressed by flutter control.
