Abstract

This paper describes three manufacturing technologies at the example of a single Ka-band slotted waveguide antenna designed for an airborne radar system. The prototype reference is fabricated by milling and compared with samples of two different 3D printing techniques. The mechanical as well as the electromagnetic characteristics of the fabricated antennas are investigated and compared with design goal and simulation data. The results are shown in this work.
