Abstract

A test setup assessment tool that estimates the identifiability of mechanical parameters is under development. The overarching objective is to define a small test series of adapted test setups for a fast calibration of an explicit MAT_262 LS-DYNA simulation with advanced measurement techniques. Today, the test setup assessment tool analyses parameter sensitivities on displacement fields of virtual experiments. In this work, it is applied to comprehensible two and three element setups, to an open-hole tensile test and to a promising omega 3-point bending test on varying specimen shapes, revealing 8 sensitive parameters. Virtual identification and experimental validation are still pending.
