Abstract
In this work, an experimental investigation was carried out with three such calcium hydroxide modifications. The materials were subjected to a number of reaction cycles using an innovative reactor design, and their deterioration and performance were tracked throughout. In addition to validating a novel reactor concept, the results obtained provide clues for further improvement of these materials and bring an affordable thermal energy storage technology one step closer to technical feasibility.
