Abstract

The concept of aerotow for gliders with a tow-drone instead of a tow-plane is presented based on the historical development of aerotow and estimated in comparison to the current state of the art for gliders. The estimation uses the measurement results from the thrust flap = "Schubklappen" project SKA.
