Abstract

The simulation of the design, virtual manufacturing and simulation-based testing of virtual products can require multiple simulation steps using different solvers. Depending on the number of tool interfaces it is benefitial to store the necessary information in a central solver-agnostic format and provide interfaces to the solver formats. The presentation gives an overview about the motivation, implementation and eco-system around a novel approach for the complete model and result description of computational structural mechanics based information, e.g. for the finite element method leveraging automated hierarchy development and creation from a reference implementation of the novel standard.
