Abstract

This paper presents preliminary numerical results of a wind tunnel model with a forward-swept laminar wing as a prearrangement for near-future wind tunnel experiments. A high-fidelity simulation environment is established and tested for a possible wind tunnel setup. The aerodynamic characteristics are analysed for both, a transitional and a fully turbulent boundary layer. A variation of the turbulence model is performed in order to assess the influence on the predicted results. Finally, results of coupled fluid-structure simulations are presented.
