Abstract
The goal of this thesis is the development of an Augmented Reality application for the assembly of space systems. For demonstration Microsoft's HoloLens 2 is used. The application aims to advance digitization and to improve working efficiency. In the target scenario work activities are practically paperless. As preparation, the current state of Augmented Reality as well as the operating environment are examined. Based on the findings, suitable use cases and relevant requirements are identified. Individual solutions are then developed and evaluated to cover the defined specifications. The most promising ones are summarized and further elaborated in a concept which serves as basis for implementation. The result is an application that enables visualization, interaction and documentation of operations-related content. The solution comprises two additional features for a more efficient workflow. One makes the transmission of data to other devices possible. Another one allows the faster retrieval of content through the automatic identification of matrix barcodes. Finally, several tests reveal that hardware as well as software have limitations. Nevertheless, the final application is capable of increasing overall work efficiency.
