Abstract

During the DS1 encounter with comet Borrelly, the onboard camera MICAS aquired a series of images with spectacular detail. Two of the highest resolution frames (58m/px, 47m/px) formed an effective stereo pair (8 deg convergence angle), on the basis of which teams at DLR and the USGS derived topographic models. Though different approaches were used in the analysis, the results are in remarkable agreement.
