Abstract
The Saturnian satellite Iapetus is one ofthe most unusual bodies of the solar system due to its extreme albedo dichotomy between the dark leading site, the bright trailing side, and the bright polar caps. In this abstract, a short summary about Iapetus research is given. Additionally, our work on color properties, on a search for surface features, HST observations and prospects for Cassini observations are shortly described.
