Abstract

This contribution will present the first real-time visualisation of reacting Ca(OH)2 granules during experiments. Overall, there is a positive effect of the Al2O3 additive on the structural integrity of Ca(OH)2 granules. The presentation will discuss the influence of different parameters of the granules on their stability and the results will reveal important insights for future design of heat exchangers for granulated materials.
