Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) already plays a major role in practical applications of remote sensing, at least in the electrooptical community. In the case of radar sensors, there are still some challenges to overcome through research. This article highlights promising studies for the traditional application of object recognition. These studies incorporate software tools by the German Aerospace Centre and Airbus combined with high-resolution TerraSAR-X radar imagery
