Abstract

The current deliverable contains the quasi-static material characterization results on tri-axially braided Zylon AS fiber reinforced Cycom 890 epoxy, the main material parameters of the investigated materials (Al2024T3, UD T700/M21, tri-axially braided AS4c carbon fiber reinforced M36 epoxy, and tri-axially braided Zylon AS fiber reinforced Cycom 890) for the high velocity impact simulations, the high velocity impact test results performed, a description of the chosen simulation approach, the validation of the simulation methodologies against selected high velocity impact results, and the results of assessments performed with the generic APU debris.
