Abstract
This speech illustrates key competitive implications of an extended EU ETS – in a world where CORSIA has now been established as a global market-based measure for aviation. After a short introduction, I will sum-up the key differences between the EU ETS and CORSIA. Especially, we will find out where the two schemes overlap, which is a driver for the competitive impacts on EEA carriers. If time permits, I will close up with some quantitative results which are shown in the slides handed out to you.
