Abstract
The "Digitales Andreaskreuz" project is a sub-project of "Reallabor Hamburg" ("RealLabHH") that aims to improve mobility and road user comfort by means of the digitalisation of level crossings. A proof-of-concept demonstrator has been developed that provided regular status updates to road users during field tests. This article focusses on the management of data generated at these level crossings and the development of a simulation middleware to generate data for all crossings in Hamburg. The data management has been realised by developing a data processing chain consisting of several open-source technologies.
