Abstract
The aim of this Thesis was to help assess the impact of ionizing radiation on the immune system. This was based on the example of X-rays on the induction of DNA strand breaks and cell death in Jurkat cells. Focus was put on the dose and time dependency for the assessed parameters, evaluating radiosensitivity and DNA repair.
