Abstract

The presentation starts with a motivation on the topic of concealed object detection in humanitarian, peace-keeping and military operations. The innovative high-performance radar system TIRAMI-SAR is introduced. Several examples of detecting landmines, UXOs, wires, electronics, and EFPs are illustrated. Benefits and drawbacks of forward looking radar are discussed. Innovative concepts on drone-based radar are outlined. The DLR drone radar system Dronar is introduced.
