Abstract
This report summarizes the activities within WP 21380 on the numerical simulation of the hypersonic flows past the X-38 configuration with respect to the heating of the body flap. The investigations cover sensitivity studies of the thermochemical modelling, angle of attack, and temporal development along the trajectory.
