Abstract

This presentation introduces the condition based maintenance (CBM) approach for the structural usage monitoring function. This includes the difficulties of the integration of a remaining useful life (RUL) based maintenance interval. Also the factors of uncertainties and variance are addressed for the integration into a maintenance planning. Therefore the sources of uncertainties were analysed. After that a parameter variation analysis was performed, to identify the variance of the expected results. The results were combined with an maintenance planning analysis to integrated the RUL based maintenance task in an existing maintenance strategy.
