Abstract

The current report describes the determination of material card parameters in the commercial software Abaqus®Explicit for a composite material made out of a triaxial braided carbon fibre reinforced epoxy. Besides the determination of the single parameters, a new methodology is also explained and used to calculate parameters in the direction of the material card that considers linear elastic approximations before the onset of failure. The aim of this new methodology is to obtain the best fitting between the measurements and the material behaviours in the simulation during the complete loading of the material.
