Abstract
This conference paper deals with experimental investigations on crash related failure characteristics of airplane cargo containers, also referred to as ULD containers (Unit Load Device), and the development of validated finite element (FE) models in accordance with the building block approach. The motivation and an overview on the scope of work are presented, and results based on the current status of work are provided.
