Abstract
The influence of mesh size and mesh topology on the OTC1 simulation results was analyzed. Furthermore, the influence of the order of spatial discretization of turbulent flows was investigated. It turned out that a quasi-structured mesh topology leads to a low dissipation of the vortex. The simulations with higher spatial discretization of the turbulent flows showed rolling moment coefficients on the scale of those of DES simulations.
