Abstract

The forces on a sphere were measured in wind tunnel tests in the range of Re = 6.25x10^4 up to Re = 3.65x10^5. The side forces were analyzed to quantify the qualties of bistable wake effects. It was seen that the transient bistable effects are connected to frequencies lower than 10Hz in the side force spectra.
