Abstract
Für konventionelle Kraftwerke eröffnet die Integration thermischer Energiespeicher eine vielversprechende Option, um die zukünftigen Flexibilitätsanforderungen zu erfüllen und gleichzeitig die Wirtschaftlichkeit zu verbessern. Im Verbundvorhaben FLEXI-TES wird die Flexibilisierung kohlegefeuerter Dampfkraftwerke durch die Integration thermischer Energiespeicher in den Kraftwerksprozess untersucht. Während der Konzeptphase wurden zu Beginn des Projektes unterschiedliche Speicherintegrationskonzepte entwickelt und bewertet. Schließlich wurden drei Leitkonzepte mit unterschiedlichen Speichertechnologien und Integrationspunkten im Kraftwerk identifiziert. Mithilfe stationärer Systemsimulationen wurden die Änderung der Nettoleistung beim Beladen und Entladen sowie verschiedene Speicherwirkungsgrade berechnet. Je nach Integrationskonzept und Betriebsstrategie sind eine Absenkung der Mindestlast bis zu 4 % der Nettoleistung, eine Laststeigerung bis zu 5 % der Nettoleistung sowie Strom-zu-Strom-Speicherwirkungsgrade bis zu 80 % möglich. For conventional power plants, the integration of thermal energy storage opens up a promising option for meeting future technical requirements in terms of flexibility while improving economic efficiency. In the joint project FLEXI-TES, the flexibilization of coal-fired steam power plants by the integration of thermal energy storage into the power plant process is investigated. During the concept phase at the beginning of the research project, different storage integration concepts were developed and evaluated. Finally, three lead concepts with different storage technologies and integration points in the power plant were identified. By means of stationary system simulations, the changes of net power output during charging and discharging as well as different storage efficiencies were calculated. A reduction of the minimum load up to 4% of net capacity during charging, a load increase up to 5% of the net capacity during discharging and storage round trip efficiencies up to 80% are possible depending on concept and operating strategy.
