Abstract
The integration of Air and Space Traffic Management is becoming a very relevant topic world wide and especially in Europe. With the intention of operating future spaceports within the European air traffic system, this topic gains additional importance. The presentation highlights the key challenges of integrating spacecraft into aviation. The requirements for a safe and interoperable joint operation are identified and the ongoing work of the institute on this topic is presented.
