Control Room Resource Management Training

Kurzfassung

One of the goals of a large scale project at DLR German Aerospace Center on collaborative operations in control rooms (COCO) was the development of a resource management training tailored specifically to the needs of control room operators. Based on the outcome of workshops with subject matter experts from various professional backgrounds, results of job analyses and discussions with domain experts a two-day training was developed to transfer the principles of team resource management training to the specific requirements of control room operators. A prototype CRRM was developed and trialled with satellite controllers at the Galileo control center. After minor adjustments the CRRM was transferred to the public transport sector and conducted repeatedly with control room operators of the urban transport provider Hamburger Hochbahn, another project partner in COCO. The presentation describes the development of the training, its contents and provides an overview on the feedback data received.
