Abstract
For upcoming missions in the L-band the Microwave and Radar Institute of DLR is developing a new generation of their accurate so-called "Kalibri" transponders. To realize an accrurate RCS, the decoupling between the receive and transmit antenna of the transponder should be as high as possible. For the "Kalibri - Next Generation" transponder dual-polarized L-band horn antennas have been developed. The mutual coupling between two antennas of this type was yet to be quantified and investigated. In this thesis the mutual coupling of both antennas in regard to the distance between them as well as in regard to their angular polarization mismatch was analyzed through simulations and measurements.
