Evaluation of Numerical Modal Analysis with Cyclic Symmetry Boundaries and Complex Mode Shapes due to Structural Coupling in Turbomachinery

Schuff, Matthias (2018) Evaluation of Numerical Modal Analysis with Cyclic Symmetry Boundaries and Complex Mode Shapes due to Structural Coupling in Turbomachinery. DLR-Interner Bericht. DLR-IB-AE-GO-2018-142. DLR-Institut für Aeroelastik. 34 S.

Abstract

Turbomachinery bladings can be investigated by only considering a segment of the full annulus. Nodal diameters have to be taken into account if structural coupling due to connections in disk or shroud is present.

This report standardizes the notation and evaluation of mode shape vibrations in turbomachinery bladings, especially the angle definitions and coordinate systems.
