Abstract

The further development of the Resin-Transfer-Moulding-Process is one of the major tasks at the German Aerospace Center at Stade. For this purpose a study of the preform behavior during the consolidation has to be done. Hence, the relaxation behavior of flat, non-crimp fibre materials will be investigated in correlation to the varied test parameters pressure, temperature, number of plys and temperature dwell time. Therefore two test devices will be used which were developed, built up and validated in previous works. In this thesis the measured test results of two different fibre materials were analysed. Thereafter a surrogate model of the bulking behavior will be created with an analysis software. In a further workpackage a testing device for L-shaped preforms is designed. Therefore previous test results and the experience of the existing test device were analysed and a specification was defined. After that a suitable concept were chosen by using a morphological box. Finally the chosen subcomponents of the drawfted testing device will be described and visualiszed in a CAD-model.
