Abstract
Boundary layer transition detection by means of temperature-sensitive paint (TSP} generally requires an artificial temperature step to enhance the temperature difference between the laminar and turbulent boundary layers. Recently we reported about the possibility to generate a well-defined temperature difference by using Carbon Nanotubes (CNT). This paper describes the application of the combination of CNT and TSP sensor to wind tunnel tests. Additionally, test plan for a determination of time response of this sensor by using a robot manipulator is introduced.
