This report contains the current state of the work performed by the NACOR consortium on lidar-based feedforward load alleviation, within the framework of CleanSky 2 AIRFRAME-ITD and part of TS-4 project NACOR ("New Innovative Aircraft Configurations and Related Issues"). This specific activity is attached to the WP4.2 of the AIRFRAME-ITD. The work performed until the end of 2017 mainly focused on the Generic Bizjet Model provided by Dassault Aviation, even if many of the improvements are directly applicable to other aircraft, including the Generic Load Range Aircraft provided by Airbus which is also considered in this activity. The report consists of a state of the art on the Doppler lidar sensor development and a discussion on the potential of this technology as well as a detailed description of enhanced and newly developed lidar-based feedforward gust load alleviation functions for the Generic Bizjet Model. First assessment of the achievable load alleviation performance based on the current state of the models is also provided.
