Abstract

A new fast readout mode for off-the-shelf CCD image sensors is presented. lt provides the capability to record two consecutive frames of short exposure time with multiple exposures cycles in fast succession. This is advantageous for measurements of recurrent low light events. A main application is the lifetime measurement of luminescence emissions such as used for Temperature-or Pressure-Sensitive Paint (TSP, PSP) measurements.
