Abstract

The parabolic trough receiver converts the concentrated solar radiation into heat, and transfers it to the heat transfer fluid. The central element of the Receiver is the absorber, which is a stainless steel tube coated with a selective Absorber coating. The heat transfer fluid, usually thermal oil, solar salt, or water flows through the Absorber tube and carries away the heat.
