Abstract

The BIRD Attitude Control System (ACS) and its various sub-systems (Star Camera, Onboard Navigation Systems, etc.) will employ both matrix and quaternion representations of reference frame orientations and transitions. This note defines the applicable conventions and provides the relevant relations between matrices and quaternions.
