AcListant Experiment Results (Trials January 2017)

Kurzfassung

The AcListant® trials performed in November and December 2015 with Austro Control and DFS controllers (funded by Helmholtz Validation Funds, DLR Technology Marketing and Institute of Flight Guidance) were repeated in January 2017 at DLR premises in Braunschweig with four controllers from the COOPANS consortium (Naviair, LFV, Croatia Control, and Irish Aviation Authority). These additional trials were an add-on to AcListant® trials funded completely by DLR, which includes training sessions with pseudo pilots and validation experts in December and January, conducting the experiments itself during three days from 24th to 26th of January 2017, analysis of the recorded data and finally creating this report. Different from the trials performed with DFS and Austro Control controllers in 2015, no pre-trials were performed with the controllers from COOPANS consortium.1, 2 COOPANS controllers only got the briefing documents three weeks before the trials. Furthermore the speech recognizer engine, developed in close cooperation of Saarland University and DLR, was not adapted to their accents and to their local phraseology.
